Men's Aviator Brown Air force Bomber A2 Flight Distressed Leather Jacket
This brown A-2 flight jacket comes with a distressed finish — the leather has been worked so it arrives looking used rather than new. Distressing is a real process with real variation, and knowing how it is done tells you what to expect from the jacket in the box. It sits in our aviator and pilot leather jackets range.
- Material: Genuine leather with a hand-distressed finish
- Fit: Classic A-2 cut
- Closure: Front zip with knitted cuffs and waistband
- Color: Distressed brown
- Care: Dry wipe, clear conditioner twice a year, do not attempt to even out the finish
How leather is distressed
Two things happen. The hide is finished with a darker pigment over a lighter base and then rubbed back by hand, so raised areas sit light and creases hold dark. Then the assembled jacket is physically worked — flexed, tumbled, and hand-rubbed at the shoulders, elbows, cuffs and front edges — to break the surface exactly where years of wear would break it. The result is uneven by design. Two jackets from the same run will differ noticeably, and a distressed jacket that looked machine-uniform would be a printed imitation of the effect rather than the effect itself.
What to expect, and what not to worry about
Expect variation in tone across the panels, lighter shoulders and elbows, and dark creasing at the sleeve folds. None of that is a fault. What would be a fault is cracking in the surface, tacky patches, or colour that comes off on a cloth — none of which distressing causes. Do not try to even out the finish with conditioner; a pigmented conditioner will fill the light areas and flatten the whole effect. Use a clear one, sparingly.
The A-2 specification
Knitted cuffs and waistband to seal warm air in, a shirt-style snap-down collar that lies flat, a wind flap behind the zip, and flapped patch pockets. Short body, close chest. Every detail solved a problem in an unheated cockpit.
Stated plainly: this is a fashion jacket in the A-2 style. It is not military issue, carries no insignia or squadron markings, and has no affiliation with any air force.
Sizing and made to order
Measure your chest over a T-shirt and buy close — an oversized A-2 loses its shape. Sizes run XS to 5XL, with Custom taking chest, waist, shoulder, sleeve, and body length.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my jacket look exactly like the photos?
Closely, not exactly. Distressing is done by hand, so tone and wear placement vary between jackets.
Is the distressing damage?
No. It is a finish. Cracking, tackiness, or colour coming off on a cloth would be faults; uneven tone is not.
Can I even out the finish?
Not without ruining it. A pigmented conditioner fills the light areas and flattens the effect. Use a clear one.
Is this military issue?
No. It is a fashion jacket in the A-2 style, with no insignia and no air force affiliation.
Is the leather genuine?
Yes, real hide throughout.
Do you offer custom sizing?
Yes. Choose Custom and send chest, waist, shoulder, sleeve, and body length.
Is shipping free?
Yes, free worldwide shipping and secure checkout.
