SKINNY WOMEN'S LEATHER PANTS
Skinny leather trousers are the hardest trouser to cut well, and it is worth understanding why before ordering. Leather has no stretch, so everything that a stretch fabric solves automatically has to be built into the pattern instead.
- Material: Real leather
- Fit: Skinny fit
- Closure: Front or side zip
- Color: Black
- Care: Wipe clean, condition twice a year, hang by the waistband
What a skinny leather trouser has to get right
Three things. The knee has to have enough shaping built in that the leg bends without the fabric pulling — on a skinny cut, that means the pattern is curved at the knee rather than straight. The rise has to be correct, because a short rise on a close-cut trouser is uncomfortable the moment you sit. And the ankle opening has to be wide enough to get your foot through, which sounds obvious and is the most common failure on tight leather trousers.
Get those wrong and no amount of quality leather saves the garment. Get them right and a skinny leather trouser is genuinely comfortable.
Why leather is worth it for this shape
Skinny fabric trousers bag out at the knee within hours of wear — the cloth stretches where it flexes and stays stretched. Leather does not. It holds the line it was cut to, which is why a good pair still looks sharp at the end of the day.
Over time it moulds to your knees and seat instead of bagging, so the trousers become specific to you rather than losing their shape.
Fit, care and honest notes
Skinny. Order your normal size and do not size down — leather does not give, and a skinny leather trouser that is too small is unwearable rather than merely tight.
Custom is worth doing on this cut more than any other. Send thigh, knee and calf measurements as well as waist and hip.
Care: wipe with a soft dry cloth, condition once or twice a year, and hang by the waistband. Never machine wash.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why are skinny leather trousers hard to cut?
Leather has no stretch, so knee shaping, rise and ankle opening all have to be built into the pattern rather than solved by the fabric.
Should I size down for a tighter fit?
No. Leather does not give — a skinny leather trouser that is too small is unwearable rather than merely tight.
Will they bag out at the knee?
No. Leather holds the line it was cut to, unlike stretch fabric which bags where it flexes.
Should I order custom?
On this cut more than any other, yes. Send thigh, knee and calf as well as waist and hip.
Are they comfortable to sit in?
Yes, if the rise is right — which is exactly why custom sizing matters here.
How do I store them?
Hanging by the waistband. Folding creases leather permanently at the knee.
Do you offer custom sizing?
Yes — XS to 5XL plus Custom to your own measurements.
Size & fit
Measure your natural waist, the fullest part of your hips and the inside leg from crotch to ankle. For chaps, also measure your thigh over the trousers you plan to wear.
Use a flexible measuring tape. Keep measurements in one unit: centimetres or inches (1 inch = 2.54 cm). Enter the unit selected in the custom-size form.
How to take body measurements
Ask another person to help. Keep the tape level and comfortably snug. Record your body measurements without adding extra room.
- 5 — Chest / bust: around the fullest part, under the arms.
- 6 — Waist: around the natural waistline.
- 7 — Hips: around the fullest part.
- 15 — Sleeve: from shoulder to wrist with the elbow slightly bent.
- 19 — Inseam: from crotch to ankle.
