Mens Genuine Leather Cut SWAT Style Biker Vest
A cut is what riders call a sleeveless vest worn to carry patches, and this one is built on a tactical utility pattern — squared panels, multiple pockets, and a straight functional outline rather than a shaped waistcoat. It is styling only: this is not official tactical or law enforcement equipment and carries no insignia, unit markings or protective rating. What it is, is a genuine leather cut with more carrying capacity than a standard vest.
- Material: Genuine leather
- Fit: Straight utility cut
- Closure: Front fastening with multiple pockets
- Color: Black
- Care: Dry cloth, condition twice a year, dry naturally away from heat
What a utility cut changes
A standard biker vest is shaped through the side seams and has two hip pockets. This one is cut straight, with squared panels and pockets set across the chest as well as the hip. The straight cut is what lets loaded pockets sit flat rather than pulling the vest out of shape.
The trade-off is that it is a boxier silhouette than a shaped vest. That is deliberate, and if you want something that follows the body, the plain and trim patterns in our Men Leather Vests range are the better choice.
Pockets and reinforcement
Every pocket on a leather garment is a load point. A pocket bag stitched into a single layer of hide will eventually tear when it carries weight, so each pocket here is backed and its mounting points are reinforced. That is the main reason a multi-pocket leather vest costs more to build than a two-pocket one.
Pocket flaps are stitched so they lie flat rather than curling, which is what happens to unbacked flaps on leather within a season.
The hide and the back
Genuine leather chosen firm enough to hold squared panels and carry loaded pockets without distorting. Seams are double stitched with heavy polyester thread.
The back is a single clean panel with no seam across it, which is the whole point of a cut — it exists to carry a back patch or set of colours.
Fit and styling
Straight utility fit. Take your normal size over a shirt or t-shirt, and size up if it is going over a leather jacket. Armholes are cut to clear a jacket sleeve.
Black jeans, boots, plain top. Over a jacket from our Men Leather Jackets it becomes the full riding layer. Because the vest already carries pocket detail, keep the rest of the outfit plain.
Sizes and made to order
Each vest is cut after you order. Standard sizes are XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL and 5XL, plus Custom — send chest, waist and back length after checkout at no extra charge. The pocket work adds production time over a plain vest. Free worldwide shipping and secure checkout are included.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this official tactical or law enforcement equipment?
No. It is a fashion leather vest in a utility style, with no insignia, unit markings or protective rating.
What is a cut?
Rider shorthand for a sleeveless vest worn to carry patches or club colours.
Are all the pockets usable?
Yes, and each is backed with reinforced mounting points so a loaded pocket does not tear the hide.
Is it a boxy fit?
Yes, deliberately. A straight cut is what lets loaded pockets sit flat. Our plain and trim vests are shaped if you prefer that.
Can I add a back patch?
Yes. The back is a single clean panel with no seam across it.
What size should I order?
Your normal size over a shirt or tee, one size up to wear over a leather jacket. Custom sizing is free.
How do I care for it?
Wipe with a dry cloth, dry naturally away from heat, condition twice a year. Never machine wash or dry clean.
