On May 29th, 1931, the Men's Classic Lambskin Brown A2 Flying Leather Jacket was launched and continued to be produced under contract until 1943. It was provided and used for the remainder of WWII as the recommended Armed Forces Air Corps intermediate flying jacket. Both pilots and flight crews regarded the A-2 as a priority coat, earning recognition as one of the most well-known of all the WWII flying coats.
