Overview & specifications
Light Brown Leather Bomber Jacket
Light brown is the colour that makes a bomber age well. Black stays as it arrives; a light tan hide records everything you do in it. The elbows, cuffs, front zip edges and shoulders lighten first, and within a year the jacket looks like something you have owned for five. If you want a leather jacket that gets better rather than just getting older, this is the one.
- Material: Real leather, vintage tan finish
- Fit: Regular bomber fit
- Closure: Front zip with ribbed collar
- Color: Light brown
- Care: Dry cloth, condition twice a year, keep away from direct heat
How light brown leather ages
The finish is not flat — it arrives already varied, deeper in the grain and lighter across the high points. Wear adds to that rather than starting from scratch, which is why tan leather develops character faster than any other colour.
The wear pattern follows what you do: elbows from bending, cuffs from sleeves, the front edges from opening and closing the zip, the shoulders from a bag strap. Two people who buy the same jacket end up with visibly different ones after a couple of years. That is the appeal, and it is worth understanding before you order, because it is not something you can undo.
Why brown rather than black
Brown goes with blue denim better than black leather does — a black jacket over blue jeans is a harder contrast than most people intend. It also works with cream, camel, olive and grey. Where a black bomber reads slightly hard, a tan one reads warm and casual.
For the black and grey versions of the same jacket, see our Men Bomber Leather Jackets range.
The bomber build
Knitted rib at the collar, cuffs and hem, dense enough to recover rather than stretch out — loose ribbing is how a bomber loses its shape. Metal tooth main zip on a reinforced tape. Double-stitched seams, reinforced at the shoulders. Two hip pockets, an interior chest pocket, and a smooth lining that lets the jacket slide on over knitwear.
Fit and styling
Regular bomber fit. Take your normal size — the pattern includes room for a jumper or hoodie underneath, so avoid sizing up unless you want it noticeably loose.
Blue jeans and boots is the obvious pairing and it always works. Over a plain white tee it is close to a uniform. See our Men Leather Jackets for other shapes, or Men Leather Shirts to wear underneath.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the colour rub off?
No. It is a dyed and finished hide, not a surface coating. It lightens naturally at the wear points, which is the intended look.
Is this real leather?
Yes, real leather with a vintage tan finish.
How quickly does it age?
Noticeably within the first year at the elbows, cuffs and front edges, then more gradually.
Can I stop it ageing?
Not really, and that is the point of tan. If you want a jacket that stays as it arrives, choose the black version.
What size should I order?
Your normal size. Room for a layer is already built into the bomber pattern.
What does light brown go with?
Blue denim especially, plus cream, camel, olive and grey.
How do I care for it?
Dry cloth, keep out of direct heat, and use a neutral conditioner twice a year. Avoid coloured polishes, which patch a tan finish.
Size & fit
Measure your chest or bust at the fullest point, natural waist, shoulder width and sleeve length. Allow for the clothing you plan to wear underneath when discussing fit.
Use a flexible measuring tape. Keep measurements in one unit: centimetres or inches (1 inch = 2.54 cm). Enter the unit selected in the custom-size form.
How to take body measurements
Ask another person to help. Keep the tape level and comfortably snug. Record your body measurements without adding extra room.
- 5 — Chest / bust: around the fullest part, under the arms.
- 6 — Waist: around the natural waistline.
- 7 — Hips: around the fullest part.
- 15 — Sleeve: from shoulder to wrist with the elbow slightly bent.
- 19 — Inseam: from crotch to ankle.
