Overview & specifications
Grey Leather Bomber Jacket
Grey leather is uncommon, and on a bomber it does something specific: it softens the jacket. Black leather has a hardness to it that reads rock or biker whatever you pair it with; grey does not. It sits closer to a wool jacket in tone, which makes it far easier to wear with tailoring, knitwear and lighter colours than a black bomber ever is.
- Material: Real leather
- Fit: Regular bomber fit
- Closure: Front zip with ribbed collar
- Color: Grey
- Care: Dry cloth, condition twice a year, keep away from direct heat
Why grey rather than black
Three reasons. It pairs with pale colours — white, cream, light blue, camel — that a black leather jacket overpowers. It reads smart-casual rather than hard, so it works in situations a black biker jacket does not. And it is simply less common, which matters if you would rather not wear the same jacket as everyone else.
The trade-off is that grey is slightly less forgiving than black on marks, though far more forgiving than any pale hide. For the black version of the same jacket, see our Men Bomber Leather Jackets range.
Grey on leather
Grey dye on hide comes out with variation rather than as a flat block — deeper in the grain and at the seams, lighter across the panels. That depth is what stops grey leather looking like painted fabric, and it is the reason a grey leather jacket photographs better than most people expect.
Slight tonal variation between panels is normal on dyed hide and is a sign the leather is real.
The bomber build
Knitted rib at the collar, cuffs and hem, which is what pulls the jacket in at the waist and seals the wrists against wind. The rib is a dense knit that recovers rather than stretching out — loose ribbing is the single most common way a bomber loses its shape.
Metal tooth main zip on a reinforced tape. Double-stitched seams with reinforcement at the shoulders. Two hip pockets, an interior chest pocket, and a smooth lining so the jacket slides on over knitwear.
Fit and styling
Regular bomber fit. Take your normal size — the pattern allows room for a jumper underneath, so avoid sizing up unless you want it loose.
Grey works with dark denim, chinos, and grey or navy trousers. Over a white shirt it is close to smart; over a hoodie it is casual. It is the more versatile of our bombers if your wardrobe is not mostly black. See our Men Leather Jackets for other shapes, or Men Leather Shirts to wear underneath.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this real leather?
Yes, real leather dyed grey rather than a coated fabric.
Is tonal variation normal?
Yes. Leather takes dye unevenly by nature, and that variation is what gives grey leather its depth.
Does grey mark more easily than black?
Slightly, though far less than a pale hide. Normal wear is not a problem.
What does grey go with?
Dark denim, chinos, navy and grey trousers, and pale colours that a black jacket would overpower.
What size should I order?
Your normal size. Room for a jumper is already built into the bomber pattern.
Will the ribbing stretch out?
Not with normal wear. It is a dense knit that recovers rather than sagging.
How do I care for it?
Dry cloth, keep away from direct heat, condition twice a year. Never machine wash or dry clean.
Size & fit
Measure your chest or bust at the fullest point, natural waist, shoulder width and sleeve length. Allow for the clothing you plan to wear underneath when discussing fit.
Use a flexible measuring tape. Keep measurements in one unit: centimetres or inches (1 inch = 2.54 cm). Enter the unit selected in the custom-size form.
How to take body measurements
Ask another person to help. Keep the tape level and comfortably snug. Record your body measurements without adding extra room.
- 5 — Chest / bust: around the fullest part, under the arms.
- 6 — Waist: around the natural waistline.
- 7 — Hips: around the fullest part.
- 15 — Sleeve: from shoulder to wrist with the elbow slightly bent.
- 19 — Inseam: from crotch to ankle.
