Front Crease Womens Leather Pants
A front crease is what turns leather trousers into tailoring. Running a sharp centre line down each leg from the thigh to the hem changes the whole read of the garment — instead of a rock or moto piece, it becomes a trouser you can wear to work. It is a small detail that does a lot, and it is what separates this pair from every other black leather trouser in the range.
- Material: Real leather
- Fit: Tailored straight leg
- Closure: Zip fly with faced waistband
- Color: Black
- Care: Dry cloth, hang by the waistband, condition twice a year
How a crease works on leather
On wool, a crease is pressed in and needs re-pressing after every few wears. On leather that is not possible — leather cannot be ironed, and heat will damage it permanently. So the crease here is built into the pattern rather than pressed in: the leg is cut and seamed so the centre line falls naturally.
The advantage is that it never needs maintaining. It does not drop out in the rain, does not need pressing, and does not disappear after a week. It is part of how the trouser is made rather than a finish applied to it.
Tailored cut
The leg is straight rather than tapered, cut to break over a shoe the way a suit trouser does. The waistband is faced and sits at the natural waist, and the seat is shaped by the pattern rather than by darts.
That cut is deliberate. A skinny leather trouser cannot read as tailoring however it is finished; a straight leg with a centre crease can.
Build
Faced waistband with a zip fly and belt loops set through reinforced points, built like a tailored trouser waistband rather than a folded edge. Pocket bags lined and stitched flat so they do not print through. Seams flat stitched so nothing interrupts the leg line — on a trouser whose whole point is a clean vertical, a ridged seam would defeat it.
Fit and styling
Take your normal trouser size. Leather has no stretch, so go up rather than down if you are between sizes, or take the free Custom option. Hem length matters on a straight leg — too short and the tailored effect collapses — so send your inside leg if you are outside standard sizing.
Tuck a fine knit or shirt in and add a belt. With heeled boots or loafers this is the most office-appropriate leather trouser we make. Pair with a shirt from our Women Leather Shirts, or see other cuts in our Women Leather Pants and jackets in Women Leather Jackets.
Sizes and made to order
Each pair is cut after you order. Standard sizes are XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL and 5XL, plus Custom — send waist, hip and inside leg after checkout at no extra charge. Free worldwide shipping and secure checkout are included.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the crease stay?
Yes. It is built into the pattern rather than pressed in, so it never needs re-pressing and does not drop out.
Can I iron leather trousers?
No. Never apply heat to leather — it damages the hide permanently. That is exactly why the crease here is cut in rather than pressed.
Are these real leather?
Yes, real leather with enough weight to hang straight and hold the leg line.
Are they smart enough for an office?
They are the most tailored leather trouser we make. Worn with a knit or shirt tucked in, they read as tailoring rather than fashion leather.
Does hem length matter?
Yes, more than on other cuts. A straight leg needs the correct length, so take Custom if your inside leg is not standard.
What size should I order?
Your normal trouser size, sizing up rather than down if you are between. Custom sizing is free.
How do I care for them?
Dry cloth, hang by the waistband so the leg line stays true, condition twice a year. Never machine wash or dry clean.
Size & fit
Measure your natural waist, the fullest part of your hips and the inside leg from crotch to ankle. For chaps, also measure your thigh over the trousers you plan to wear.
Use a flexible measuring tape. Keep measurements in one unit: centimetres or inches (1 inch = 2.54 cm). Enter the unit selected in the custom-size form.
How to take body measurements
Ask another person to help. Keep the tape level and comfortably snug. Record your body measurements without adding extra room.
- 5 — Chest / bust: around the fullest part, under the arms.
- 6 — Waist: around the natural waistline.
- 7 — Hips: around the fullest part.
- 15 — Sleeve: from shoulder to wrist with the elbow slightly bent.
- 19 — Inseam: from crotch to ankle.
