Fashion Studded Perfectly Leather Jacket
Sizing is the thing most people struggle with on a studded jacket, and it is why this one is worth reading about before you buy. Studded panels have almost no give — the hardware locks the leather in place — so a jacket that is slightly out cannot be worn into shape the way a plain leather jacket can. This one is made to order in every size from XS to 5XL, with free custom measurements on top.
- Material: Genuine leather with hand-set studs
- Fit: Biker fit, made to your size
- Closure: Front zip
- Color: Black
- Care: Dry cloth on the leather, buff the metal dry, never soak
Why sizing a studded jacket is different
A plain leather jacket has some tolerance. The hide relaxes over a few weeks, the shoulders settle, and a jacket that felt slightly snug becomes comfortable. A studded jacket does not do that: every stud is a fixed point through the panel, so the leather between them cannot stretch or ease.
The practical rules that follow are simple. Take your normal size over a t-shirt or thin knit. Size up if you intend to wear anything thicker underneath — a jumper, a hoodie — because the room will not appear later. And if you fall between two sizes, go up rather than down.
Custom measurements, free
Because of all that, this is a jacket where the Custom option genuinely earns its place rather than being a checkout upsell. Send chest, waist, sleeve and back length after checkout and the jacket is cut to those figures at no extra cost.
It is worth doing if your arms are longer or shorter than standard, if your chest and waist sit at different sizes on a chart, or if you are outside the XS to 5XL range at either end. Message us before ordering if you are unsure what to measure.
The stud work
Each stud is pushed through a punched hole in the hide and its prongs folded flat against a backing washer on the reverse. The washer spreads the load so the prongs bear on metal rather than on leather — without it they saw through the hide as the jacket flexes until the stud drops out.
Machine pressing skips that step. Hand setting takes hours, and it is the reason this jacket takes longer to make and costs more than a plain one.
Wearing it
It is heavier than a plain leather jacket, and the weight is what makes it hang correctly rather than drape. Hang it on a wide hanger with space around it — studs mark whatever they are pressed against. Buff the metal dry after damp weather and never soak it.
Black jeans, boots, a plain top. See the rest of our Women Studded Leather Jackets, or our Women Leather Jackets for plain leather.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does sizing matter more on a studded jacket?
Every stud is a fixed point through the panel, so the leather between them cannot stretch or ease. A plain jacket relaxes into shape; a studded one does not.
What size should I order?
Your normal size over a tee or thin knit. Size up to layer anything thicker, and size up rather than down if you are between sizes.
Is custom sizing really free?
Yes. Send chest, waist, sleeve and back length after checkout and we cut to those figures at no extra cost.
What if I am outside XS to 5XL?
Message us before ordering. Custom sizing covers measurements beyond the standard range.
Are the studs hand set?
Yes, each one individually and backed on the reverse so it cannot work through the hide.
Is it heavy?
Heavier than a plain leather jacket. The weight is what makes it hang correctly.
How do I store it?
On a wide hanger with space either side. Studs mark whatever they are pressed against.
Size & fit
Measure your chest or bust at the fullest point, natural waist, shoulder width and sleeve length. Allow for the clothing you plan to wear underneath when discussing fit.
Use a flexible measuring tape. Keep measurements in one unit: centimetres or inches (1 inch = 2.54 cm). Enter the unit selected in the custom-size form.
How to take body measurements
Ask another person to help. Keep the tape level and comfortably snug. Record your body measurements without adding extra room.
- 5 — Chest / bust: around the fullest part, under the arms.
- 6 — Waist: around the natural waistline.
- 7 — Hips: around the fullest part.
- 15 — Sleeve: from shoulder to wrist with the elbow slightly bent.
- 19 — Inseam: from crotch to ankle.
